THE SAGA HOTEL HOI AN

The staff at this hotel are top-notch! They are kind, welcoming, helpful, and beautiful! If I had one complaint/suggestion it would be about the swimming pool. In the heat of the day the pool is in full sunshine, and a little shade would be very welcome.

The hotel is very nice, with exceptional staff, and very good communications from start to finish. The twin suites suited our family well and the free mini-bar was a nice touch. Included breakfast was something we looked forward to every day. The swimming pool, the bar and billiards table were good - however, the darts and foosball table were out of commission and the little kids play area looked pretty sad. Dinner was really lovely but a bit pricey so most people ended up not using the restaurant at night. Within 30 seconds walk from the front entrance is a money exchange, multiple laundries, amazing pho (for 40k), tailor, spa and minimart. Room prices are low and overall, I would definitely recommend.

We had the most amazing, relaxing experience in The Saga Hotel Hoi An ✨ We stayed 4 nights and 5 days, so the hotel gave us a free upgraded room which was just perfect! The breakfast is very nice and the area surrounding the pool is astonishing! The hotel is very clean and they have great laundry service! Plus, the staff is very attentive and kind! A special thanks to Nhung, who was the sweetest, kindest and the most patient person to all our questions 🌸 The overall experience clearly exceeded our expectations! We will definitely come back!

We had a perfect stay in the saga hotel in Hoi An! The hotel looks like on the photos, soo soooo beautiful! The service was perfect. We gave them our laundry in the evening and the next morning it was already clean! The walk to the city is nice too and if you don’t want to walk, you can take the shuttle or a grab! We would definitely go there again😍

We had an incredible stay at The Saga Hotel in Hoi An. The service was impeccable. All the staff members were very friendly and welcoming. We were upgraded to a better room, and they helped us book excursions and the Hoi An Memories show. The breakfast offered a remarkable variety. They even prepared and brought a cake to our room for my birthday. Probably one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. We highly recommend it.

Hoi an is not short of its 5 star hotels and I would highly recommend Saga for people who want to be away from the hustle and bustle of old town while also within walking distance. A short grab ride away, Saga Hotel has huge rooms with huuuge beds and a plentiful breakfast selection that changes even though we only had 2 breakfasts here. It's also convenient from Da Nang airport (1 hour 30mins + with traffic) without having to drive through the traffic jam of old town. Didn't try the pool facilities and there was no bath tub but you can always head to the various spas nearby. 10/10 recommend.

We stayed at Saga for four nights and had a really wonderful experience. We traveled a lot in Vietnam, and without a doubt, Saga is my best hotel experience in Vietnam - attentive staff, clean rooms, amazing breakfast menu, good location. We would absolutely recommend this hotel. What stood out the most—and what really differentiated this hotel from others—was the staff. They were genuinely attentive in a way that felt personal which made us feel truly welcomed throughout our stay. They remembered our names, knew which breakfast table we liked, and always greeted us with warm smiles. They checked in with us often to see if we needed anything, but never in an intrusive way. It made us feel truly welcomed and well taken care of. The room was also very clean and had a lovely open-air view. I’d also like to give special kudos to the management. It’s clear that the great service comes from strong and thoughtful leadership. The warmth and care shown by the staff don’t happen by accident, and it really made a difference in our stay. That kind of experience starts from the top. Thank you for a positive experience.

Had a fabulous Stay, Huong could not do enough for us. Everything was spotless, evening meals high quality although a bit expensive for Vietnam prices. Breakfast substantial and very good quality with lots of choice. We had a family bungalow, very spacious with a balcony. The spa was excellent too, great value and very professional. We had a full body massage, facial and leg/foot massage, perfect after a busy day. The Saga hotel is a haven slightly away from the hustle and bustle with the added bonus of a shuttle bus into Hoi An city, a must to visit in the evening, especially the lantern boats. We totally recommend the hotel. Thanks to all the staff who looked after us and made our stay memorable ❤️

“Amazing experience” The hotel was clean and well maintained, and both the reception and restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is very convenient, with many eateries and a convenience store within close walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, with very good water pressure. Breakfast was enjoyable, offering a wide range of dishes, including a separate Korean food corner. Housekeeping was done twice a day, which was appreciated. The hotel also offered many thoughtful extras, such as a self-service water refill station outside the restaurant, complimentary massage, food and beverage and laundry vouchers, minibar items, and a free shuttle service to either Old Town or the beach. There were also scheduled hotel activities or games at the bar, which added to the overall experience. The farewell gift of a lantern was a nice touch and left a positive impression. However, there were some areas that need improvement. The ventilation fan in the room was not working, and the bathroom door did not close properly. Noise could be heard from upstairs, including footsteps and chairs being dragged. The ramp from the restaurant to the room is quite steep and can be unsafe for elderly guests, especially when wet; adding a railing on the side would make it safer. The breakfast buffet did not include Vietnamese desserts. In addition, the foot massage did not feel hotel-quality, as the therapists were chatting among themselves and did not seem fully focused during the session. Overall, it is a comfortable hotel with good facilities, a convenient location, and friendly staff, but some maintenance, safety, and service quality improvements would enhance the stay.

This is an update to my initial review. On arrival with a tour group we were allocated a specific room that did not meet the tour operator description. However the customer service at the hotel was excellent and on the second day we were able to move to a different (but more expensive) room. It is clear that there are a number of different prices available ranging from budget (small and potentially facing a wall from the window) to quite plush suites overlooking the pool and bar area. If you are booking take care to match your comfort requirements and price point carefully. However all rooms benefit from the services the hotel provides. The breakfast was very good with a wide range of Vietnamese foods and some American and European favourites. The bar (which we partook of) is tucked away near the pool in a separate block with the spa and small gym (neither of which we tried so I can't comment on). The bar was very reasonably priced for Vietnam albeit we suffered one issue with slow service that was resolved by the, again, excellent customer service. Other services provided are a number of paid activities (such as cooking and lantern making) but we instead used the free shuttle service to the beach where we were dropped off and picked up from a beach club. (separate review). Suffice here to say that the facilities were free! So in summary a hotel with a range of room options, both of our rooms at least had comfortable beds. Very good breakfast and reasonable facilities outside of that. Shuttle service to the beach and town. I fully recommend this hotel but choose your room option with care.

Amazing place to stay. From the welcoming at check in to the constantly asking if there is any they can help with, it was a 5 star experience. Far enough away from the craziness in downtown Hoi An but only a few minutes Grab or free hotel shuttle. The pool was refreshing and not too crowded, free breakfast buffet was perfect with anything you could want. This was also be of the best places we stayed and the price bumped it up a notch!!
