Nalani Homestay & Hostel Hoi An

Perfectly situated for easy access to An Bang Beach, Hoi An Ancient Town and Da Nang, this chilled out social hostel is owned and run by a lovely couple who go above and beyond to make your stay special. Communal dinners, social excursions, and a deep knowledge of all the best activities and restaurants/bars in the area. An absolute gem amongst a plethora of choice. Highly recommended!

Where do I even start? Nalani Hostel is not just a place to stay, it truly feels like home from the moment you arrive. The atmosphere, the people, and the location make this hostel something special and unique. Lan, the owner, is incredibly kind, helpful, and always ready with a smile. The entire place is spotless, cleaned to perfection every day, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. The location is perfect too, just a 4-minute walk to the beach, and the hostel also has a beautiful common pool where it’s so easy to relax and meet other travelers. Everything here is a solid 10/10. I’ve stayed at Nalani twice, the first time in a private room, and the second time I came back to stay in the dorms. Both experiences were amazing in their own way. If I ever return to Hoi An, there’s no doubt I’ll be coming back here again ❤️

Stayed there in 2025 and I changed my whole travel plans for Vietnam, cancelling petty much the rest of my travels just to stay here longer. It felt oddly more like staying with family but with your own room - amazing for solo travellers

I stayed at Nalani Hostel for 5 nights during my backpacking trip through Vietnam, and it was easily one of the best hostels I’ve experienced. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by cozy coffee places and great restaurants. From the moment you arrive, Lan (the owner) makes you feel right at home with her warm welcome. The room was spacious and had its own bathroom. Both the room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, just like the rest of the hostel. The beds were comfortable and offered a bit of privacy, which was perfect for relaxing after long days exploring. There’s also fast Wi-Fi, and you can grab snacks and drinks on an honor system, such a nice touch. Every morning there are multiple breakfast options, all of which were delicious. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with anything, whether it was arranging trips to Monkey Mountain in Da Nang or booking a shuttle bus to Hue. I’d give Nalani a full 5 stars and I’m already planning to come back in a few weeks for a second stay. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Hoi An!

This place was amazing for me The hostel is clean and beautiful and has a pool, it is a 5 minute walk from the sea. Everyone who works or volunteers there are really lovely people. The hostel is social and allows for new connections. The owner will help you with anything you need. The room is cleaned every day and the beds are really comfortable

I stayed in many places, from cheap hostel to palaces, and nothing come close to Nalani. This place truly feels like home. Wonderful commodities, between the great breakfast and swimming pool, clean and comfortable rooms, and perfect location close to the beach, you will smile, laugh, and feel truly serene in this beautiful house. The owner has an amazing heart, and will instantly make you feel happy and at peace. I guarantee it will be the highlight of your travel! No need to browse endlessly for accommodation, just go there ;)

I spent almost 10 nights here over 2 periods and I felt like at home. Everyone was very kind and helpful, creating a good atmosphere. Lan and Martin run this hostel and showed me the city like the locals know it. I will surely come back soon.

Great spot with plenty of cute early morning breakfast spots nearby (my tours left before the breakfast at the hostel). They helped me book 3 tours/events, including great tickets within 40min of a show starting in town. They were friendly, well connected, with a very chill vibe. I stayed in a private room which was comfortable, great AC.

Great option for an affordable, clean and welcoming hostel here in Hoi An. The owners Martin and his partner are super laid back and helpful. The strong sense of community is felt from the moment you walk through the door. Beer, snacks and other handy items are available from a small store downstairs and the kitchen is kitted out ready for a cook up. Pool is clean and the dorm beds are comfortable enough, bathrooms are very nice, washing and scooter rental service on site is just another super convenient addition. They also have an amazing selection of activities and restaurant/coffee shop recommendations on their WhatsApp group. Thanks again for having us!

A place that is a home! Amazing atmosphere, great location, great breakfast, great kitchen if you wanna make something for yourself, chill family vibe :) VERY clean! Beautiful stay and located near the beach. The hosts are super amazing and help you with anything you need during the stay. The dorms were great too if you are travelling solo. It has a pool and all the amentities including snacks. If you are staying in Hoi An, this one is the only hostel you should be looking at. 11/10.

The best place to stay if you want to be near to An Bang Beach. Quickly accessible by Grab bike to Hidden Beach and Cua Dai Beach too. All the private rooms and mixed dorms are all very spacious and clean. They also serve a free vegetarian …
