Lantern Riverside Hoi An

The location is great and the owner is very helpful. She was easy to reach on WhatsApp, arranged for us our taxis to and from and for our motorbike rental, all we were able pay for by card at the front desk. The rooms were clean and comfortable. My wife and I stayed during Tet so extra respect for how helpful the owner was considering all she had going on that week.

Great place to stay in Hoi An! Located in the heart of old town, very easy to get to everything by foot or bike. The beds were comfy and the owner is so sweet. It is a family run place and she really does make you feel at home. Would stay again!

Wonderful quiet refuge, steps away from all the action Location is perfect, all the action and night market of Hoi An is steps away yet we found it totally quiet. Our room had a wonderful view of the river and nice little balcony perfect for coffee in the morning. Staff very friendly.

We originally booked our stay at Lantern Riverside for 2 nights and enjoyed it so much we extended for 2 more. The owner was helpful, kind and offered helpful suggestions. She recommended tailor that made us feel comfortable and produced high quality designs, booked us in a cooking class that was one of the highlight of our trips and arranged transport to the airport for us that was timely and comfortable! The location is ideal as steps away from the night market, without hearing the noise of the night market. We look forward to coming back soon!

Beautiful find. We extended our stay twice. Very friendly owners. Simple good breakfast of coffee, eggs, bread and fruit. Rooms very looked after and clean. Location amazing just off the main night market street. Close to everything , quiet little street. Our big room had lots of windows and balcony, got hot in the day, but they quickly.supplied us with a second ac fan. I would definitely recommend this small hotel, especially if you get for 600-700000 dong per night. Its a bargain

The dining experience at the lodge is average. The breakfast buffet offers a reasonable selection of both local and Western dishes, though the quality and freshness could be better. The dinner menu is somewhat limited, and the food, while acceptable, does not stand out in terms of flavor, especially considering Hoi An's rich culinary scene. The lodge's facilities, such as the pool and the spa, add value to the stay, providing spaces for relaxation and leisure. However, these facilities could benefit from more regular maintenance, as there were signs of wear and tear. Overall, Lantern Riverside Hoi An Lodge provides a decent option for those seeking a peaceful riverside retreat. While the setting and comfort of the rooms are commendable, improvements in cleanliness, service consistency, and dining quality would significantly enhance the overall experience.

The location is fantastic - right next to the river, night markets and a two minute walk to reach the middle of the action! The rooms are beautiful and very clean. Our room had a gorgeous big balcony with plants, which was a lovely addition to our room. For the price… awesome. Breakfast was included, but just make sure you chat to the owner if you want it, as it doesn’t seem to be a big official thing. The reason I must deduct a star is that on one particular night, at 10:30pm, we experienced the entire host family having a massive fight with each other, screaming, shouting, the daughter crying, stomping up and down the stairs and yelling right outside our door. It went on for quite some time. This is unacceptable, especially late at night, when you have guests trying to relax or even go to sleep. It was extremely loud, and made us feel very uncomfortable & upset. I’ve never experienced anything like it at a homestay or hotel. With that said, the cleaning lady was very kind, and even helped us carry our heavy suitcases up the stairs, as there’s no lift. Laundry service was also all good and done quickly. Overall, except for that one hiccup, it was a good stay. 🙏

Great clean Guesthouse with an awesome location right next to the river and beside the night markets. Hung and her husband that own the guest house was very helpful and eager to assist us with information and arrange trips and tours for us. If you pay by CC please note that there is a 3% service charge. We were perched on the 3rd floor and hence had views (limited) of the river.

This place and location were amazing!!! Right next to the night market and it was still so quiet here. The hotel is also right next to the water and about a 5 minute walk away from the old city. The front desk women was really great and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. I would stay here again each time I am in Hoi An

A beautiful homestay in ancient part of Hoi An. The main street has a night market but because this is tucked away in a residential street, quieter area. The entrance is inviting with lots of beautiful flowers. Inside lobby is very clean and welcoming. Owner is lovely. I love the room with the big balcony/patio with plants. It felt very luxurious for the price point. However if you want privacy you would need to close the curtains as neighbors can see into your room. There are 3 rooms with balconies I believe, I highly recommend getting one of these rooms. I extended my stay for one more night because it was so lovely. I even got laundry service done by them.

Clean stay - incredibly convenient location - we're basically in the middle of the night market. No elevator but the stairs are wide, level, and stable - well built. Owner-operated and they are a very sweet family. The hostess' English is perfect. Hot water can be too hot if you're not careful - start cold and work your way up. We had a plumbing issue with the sink and after telling the owner, they hired a plumber and it was fixed in 45 minutes. I will strongly recommend this hotel/homestay to anyone visiting Hoi An.
