The hotel is good. Staff are great. Breakfast is good. Beds are comfy and rooms are nice. Mostly positive. The negatives: The gym is terrible. If you are booking thinking you'll get a few workouts in to make up for your disgraceful behavior, think again. The machines are old, rusty and broken. A couple of them are dangerous to use. They should be replaced or they should close the facility. To advertise it as a feature of the hotel is very misleading. Second negative - the hotel is in a party area. Clubs and bars nearby will pump bad music into your room late at night, especially on weekends. The worst of western mass tourism is in this neighborhood. If that is what you are looking for though, then this is a solid choice.

The hotel is located not far from the beach, just a five minute walk. Our room was very spacious, with comfortable bed and pillows. There are plenty of restaurants located around the property, all in convenient walking distance. The breakfast buffet has plenty of selections to choose from and a High Tea in the afternoon is also included. Their staff is helpful and very polite.

Well satisfied with our four nights there. Staff were exceptional. Especially at reception. Helping us organize various trips. One if the best breakfast varieties I have come across. 5 minutes from the beach and plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. Recommended for sure.

We chose this place after some bad experience in Cat Ba and were totally happy we chose Golden Lotus Grand Hotel. Great location in a buzzing area with lots of restaurants close by, though it didn’t feel noizy. Friendly and helpful staff that also set us up with great recommendations for our next stop in Hoi An. The place is clean and makes you feel very welcome. The room was really spacious and felt luxurious even to western expectations. Thanks for having us as your guests.

A hotel that disappoints on every level. The breakfast was terrible: very poor, tasteless, and with almost no variety. We had a serious issue with the airport transfer and were told the manager would contact us. **Nobody ever did.** The balcony was not cleaned for two days and the balcony door was broken. The towels were dirty when we arrived (they were changed after we complained, but this should never happen). The so-called airport transfer is available only twice a day, whenever it suits them, and this information is given **only after booking**. Bad service, no communication, and no respect for guests. I do not recommend this hotel at all!!!

If you are looking for an affordable clean hotel with no strong preferences on service in a central location this may be for you. The hotel is very dated and low quality construction, easy to hear your neighbours in room next door or above, so if you’re a light sleeper maybe not. I had to call quite a few times late at night for noisy neighbours. We asked for a twin room with bathtub on our preferences, this was discussed agreed and we were told not possible at check in. Of course logistically was possible but the hotel staff did not want to or could not accommodate. The gym is very poor and needs a refit (may other gyms around the city though no problem) pool area is nice but was raining every day so we could not enjoy it. Despite the obvious age of the building the hotel is very clean and maid service done well - you’ll see by the quality of the towels and facilities as an indication of the basics provided. Given the volume of hotels in the area do choose wisely based on price and ask if you have questions Why is service rated low? I had to check out early and no room credit given. Additionally no-one in the hotel even asked if we enjoyed our stay or could anything improve.

Staff are nice location is good but housekeeping could be better. Had to chase towel as they run out of them and didn't have any. Then ask for pillow only to find out they took them from our other room and ended up with less pillow. Front staff are very helpful and friendly. Just the service of the room need to be improved For training at the front of the hotel was very odd and no notice given

We had a good stay for 3 nights and 4 days, it’s very near all the restaurants you could ever think of! I even went out with my friend last 11PM and felt very safe! The beach was around 5 blocks away— be careful crossing the street! The hotel has a pool on the top roof, but it is not heated and we didn’t get to enjoy it since it was very cold and windy when we went. We enjoyed their breakfast buffet every morning, it opens at 6:30 AM, and they serve a variety of menu— from bread with jam, salad station, pho, egg station, different Vietnamese food (thit kho, Vietnamese noodles, etc.) The staff were amazing, always checking if we needed a high chair whenever we would go to the afternoon tea and breakfast buffet! I have no complaints except for the fact that their body wash was smelled like MOLD that I was traumatized and didn’t use any of their amnesties in the shower lol, good thing I brought my own hahaha! I’d definitely choose this hotel again when we come back to Da Nang!

Overall, this stay was very satisfying, and it is a hotel I would be happy to return to in the future. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff were friendly and patient. The check-in process was smooth, and the explanations regarding the room type and facilities were clear, leaving a very positive first impression. The room was spacious, clean, and well-lit, with a simple and comfortable design. The bed had the right balance of firmness and softness, providing excellent sleep quality. The in-room facilities were well equipped, making it suitable for both business trips and leisure stays. The bathroom was well maintained with a separate wet and dry area, and toiletries were replenished promptly. In terms of public facilities, everything was well planned and properly maintained, making them comfortable to use. Breakfast offered a good variety of choices with pleasant flavors, and food was refilled quickly. The dining area was clean and inviting, making it easy to start the day in a relaxed way. Whenever assistance was needed, the staff responded promptly with a professional and friendly attitude. The hotel’s location is also very convenient, with good access to dining options, transportation, and basic shopping nearby. The overall environment was quiet and peaceful, allowing guests to truly relax and unwind. In conclusion, this hotel performs very well in terms of service quality, comfort, and overall management, offering great value for money. Whether for a short stay or a longer visit, it is a great choice. I would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to friends and family.

FALSE ADVERTISING AND FAKE PHOTOS. We booked this hotel through Agoda and our room was advertised as 'Sea View'. If you look at my photos, this turned out to be a lie. Infact, almost none of the rooms in the hotel have sea views. On our arrival at the hotel they informed us our room did not have a sea view. So this is something they are aware of but are still happy to falsey advertise. We complained that this is not what we had paid for but they said there was nothing the hotel could do. We were stuck as it was dark, late in the evening, we had all our luggage with us and we had just arrived in the country and were tired - all very stressful. We sat in reception and reported it to Agoda who after an 2 hours said we would be upgraded the next day. This room was nice but still did not really have a 'sea view' their photos suggested. It ruined our holiday as we specifically wanted a sea view. The hotel decor feels quite dated and most of the staff are not especially interested. There was a young man in reception (seemed like the manager) who however was excellent in doing his best help us and had very good customer service. I have no idea why this place has such good reviews. The location is fair (quite noisy), breakfast was OK, and rooms are OK. Would not recommend. You don't get a sea view and you don't get a proper city view either. It's close to the beach and shops and cafes, but that's all.

2 days into our 3 day stay at the Golden Lotus Grand and we couldn’t be happier. The place is in a great location for the city, the rooms are very decent and the staff are exceptionally friendly. Breakfast on par with any 5* we’ve stayed at in Vietnam, in-fact I’d go so far to say, the best breakfast I’ve had so far. Afternoon tea is a lovely touch too! Value for money wise this place is top draw and Id definitely stay here again.

Loved the location to be honest theres alot do to close by, rooms were lovely. The breakfast had amazing varieties.
