We stayed here at the end of our holiday in Vietnam and it was a perfect ending. The room was lovely, the breakfast excellent, anything you wanted provided, the roof pool a lovely bonus, but what was most excellent was the people who work there. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, the waiters, the room preparers and the receptionists were kind, keen to help, friendly and cheerful. A great asset to the hotel, the staff reflected well on the hotel & how it is run. I can only presume it is a good working environment. Also three of our group had a massage during our stay and we all experienced one of the best massages we had ever had. I particularly want to mention and thank Thao, my masseuse, I requested a strong massage and it was excellent, I felt the benefits of it at the time and the following day. Thanks to all the staff for a beautiful ending to our wonderful adventure in Vietnam.

We loved our stay at the hotel. We booked the balcony twin room which was a nice amount of space for my sister and I traveling together. The bathrooms are very large and spacious. We had breakfast included in our stay had both asian and western specialties and delicious coffees. The staff was so nice especially Minh who checked us in and the amazing housekeeping staff that kept our rooms in tip top shape.
I recently stayed at Hotel Royal Hoi An Gallery and overall had a very good experience. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, especially the ones with a balcony overlooking the river (those are definitely worth booking if available). The interior feels fresh and well-maintained, as if the rooms have been recently renovated, which adds a nice modern touch while still keeping a boutique feel. The location is excellent: the hotel is away from the noise and crowds of the Ancient Town, yet still within easy walking distance. You can enjoy some peace and quiet at the hotel and then reach the heart of Hoi An in just a short walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the service is excellent overall. They are attentive and welcoming, which really adds to the experience. The only real downside for me is the elevator access to the guest rooms. To reach the elevator, you have to walk through the hotel restaurant, and the kitchen smells can be quite strong and a bit unpleasant as you pass through. Aside from this point, I genuinely recommend staying at Hotel Royal Hoi An Gallery, especially if you choose a river-view balcony room.
The lobby and guest rooms were clean, luxurious, and filled with a pleasant fragrance. We stayed for two nights, and each day we received complimentary mineral water and fresh fruit, and the drinks in the minibar were also free. The Executive Lounge offers a wonderful view, where you can enjoy afternoon tea as well as alcoholic beverages in the evening. Breakfast is served buffet-style, featuring not only Vietnamese cuisine but also Chinese and continental dishes. There is also a spa, and we were able to relax with an aroma oil massage. All the staff were kind and welcoming, and in particular, Ms. Hiep at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. In addition to taking care of our check-in and check-out, he kindly assisted us with various questions and requests. Although the hotel is close to the old town, it is pleasantly removed from the noise, allowing us to enjoy quiet and peaceful nights.
Room: Grand Deluxe King with Balcony and River View I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Royal Hoi An. The service here is truly exceptional; the staff is attentive and takes care of you from start to finish. I especially appreciated that even though my room rate didn't technically include a turndown service, the team provided it every single night regardless. The Room & Bathroom: The room is very spacious and comes with a free minibar. The bed is incredibly comfortable, while they don't provide bolsters, they give you plenty of small pillows. However, I found the bathroom design a bit impractical. The shower/toilet area is integrated/open to the room, which means as soon as you step out of the shower, you feel the cold blast of the air conditioning immediately. Additionally, the hot water takes quite a while to heat up, so you have to wait a bit before jumping in. One tip: while I had a River View room, I personally feel it isn’t a "must-have" since you can enjoy even better views from the common areas. The Highlights: - The Deck (Rooftop Bar): Hands down the best part of the hotel. It offers a stunning 360-degree view of the Hoi An town and the river. It’s easily the most beautiful spot in the building. - Location: Perfect balance. It is within easy walking distance to the ancient town (a lovely stroll along the river), but far enough away that it remains quiet and peaceful at night. - Service Details: Even the check-in process is thoughtful, providing chairs to sit comfortably while you are processed. A Few Things to Note: - Layout: The hotel consists of two buildings. If your room is in the building across from the main wing, you will need to walk over and take a separate lift to access the rooftop bar. - Breakfast: The buffet was just okay ("so-so") in my opinion, though the Pho was definitely a highlight and worth trying. Verdict: Great service, amazing rooftop views, and a perfect location for exploring Hoi An without the noise.
Hotel Royal is truly a 5 star experience. Highest standards of comfort and cleanliness throughout. The attention to detail in every area of the hotel is really good. Staff are extremely helpful and polite. They helped with surprise birthday cake, balloons and room decorations for my partner’s birthday. Bedrooms have a lovely balcony, beautiful bathroom and really comfortable beds with high quality linens. The buffet breakfast has a great selection of fresh foods, juices, teas and coffee. The pool areas are well maintained and the view from the rooftop poop and bar is lovely. We stayed in room 527, very quiet with a view of the main pool and the river. This room provided Executive Lounge access which was a great benefit, especially the cocktails at 6pm. Highly recommended and if I ever return to HoiAn this will be my chosen place to stay.
We are located on the river side of the hotel. It can be noisy during parts of the afternoon and evening (closes at 9pm) with the karaoke bar across the river. Further down the river last night there was a party going on. Although we booked a room with a river side view, the view is not visible for us, due to the positioning of the room and the way it is facing. It is only possible to view the river if you stand on the balcony and face it . The balcony would benefit from chairs for guests to use. Room itself is generally okay although it does lack the detailed touches that you would expect in a five star. We have to boil our kettle on the floor as there is no power socket on the worktops. We have to ask for fresh milk in order to make a cup of tea or coffee. Breakfast food is quite good although the service can be a little hit miss. The bathroom is dark with very limited lighting which makes shaving a little tricky at times. On a positive note the showers are good, the bed is comfortable and the air-conditioning is very effective. The staff are polite and cheerful. I should say that the review is based upon five star expectations. The hotel may still be considered one of the best in Hoi An and whilst we’ve enjoyed our stay here, for us it doesn’t meet five star standards and our expectations given the price that we’ve paid.
We purchased a five night package through Luxury Escapes in Australia … which included breakfast, massages, drinks and dinner. The breakfast was a great mix of western traditional and Asian flavours … The two massages were excellent - so much so, my wife had extra treatments at a very fair price for a really clean facility with all the best hygiene and services. The free flowing drinks each night were a little disappointing but the paid for options weren’t too expensive - it would have been better to allow one or two good drinks than unlimited cheap stuff. The two dinners were two courses and again a limited menu that didn’t really show off the quality of the kitchen and chef - but still quite adequate - it would be nice to be able to upgrade to the full experience … a little stingy really, just like the drinks … The room (2606) was in the newer wing (2) on the sixth floor and overlooked the water with a nice patio facing south. It was a good size with a king bed. The desk and chair were good as was the couch and coffee table. Plenty of storage. A mini fridge and kettle but no coffee machine. The bathroom flowed into the main room with frosted glass doors for the toilet and shower - so a night visit would light up the whole room … the bath was next to the bed - a curtain could be pulled over. The floor was polished wood in the bedroom area and tiled in the bath area with a little step down. The TV was aged and on the small side with no ability to login in to streaming services like Netflix, Prime, Disney or Apple TV - so easy now-a-days to have Google Android TV and allow people to use their accounts on Apps. The Internet was fast enough but might need to be upgraded for streaming. Overall, we were impressed and will buy another package when we visit Hoi An again …
Good location, lovely atmosphere and decor. Our room had a beautiful river view. Not far from the Night Market (walking distance), but far enough away from the evening bar noises. Minutes from Ancient Town area. We had a nice massage at the hotel’s Woosah Spa. Hotel offered the use of a private beach and facilities at the Wyndham Hoi An Royal Beachfront Resort for which we also partook in a couple of times.
I had a wonderful stay at the Royal Hotel Hoi An. My river view room was absolutely beautiful and very relaxing. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the Old Town, which made exploring Hoi An so easy and enjoyable. I also really enjoyed the spa, which was a great way to relax during my stay. The room service was excellent, the breakfast had a good variety, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. Overall, it was a very comfortable and pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hoi An.
An excellent place to stay if visiting Hoi An, magnificent and opulent Hotel with amazing on site facilities. Room was wonderful and probably the most comfortable bed you could sleep in throughout Vietnam! Breakfast buffets in Faifoo Room were delicious and the hotel reflects Vietnamese-Japanese heritage. Located in a prime location for walking distance exploration of the main attractions and riverside. Small touches from the hotel such as surprise evening treats of home baked pastries and chocolates were much appreciated. A wonderful place to stay and highly recommended. A big thank you from Amy & I! Cam on!
Situated by the banks of the Thu Bon River, Hoi An within walking distance to the Ancient Town, this hotel which is part of the Accor McGallery collection is the most luxurious 5 star hotel in the vicinity. In my old age I have decided to pamper myself on holidays and splurge out on accomodation as good rest and comfort is crucial to recharge energy for sightseeing. I am staying at the Hotel Royal in Hoi An. The hotel is synonymous with the word "luxury" and I am having a relaxing time here. The architecture and interior fittings and fixtures are classic french royalty. The rooms are beautiful and service is immaculate. The property has views of the river and the old town and the views at night from the rooftop bar is stunning! A short 15 minute stroll by the river takes you to the Ancient Town. Hotel Royal is a romantic town. Come during low and off peak seasons for good rates. Highly recommended
